Lazy days

It has been quite some time since I lasted posted here, I haven't been particularly busy just lazy.

Last week Kristian and I went to Mount Dandenong, it is so beautiful up there I'm so annoyed that I forgot to take my camera, I'm always forgetting it. Kristian and I have decided that "The Dandenongs" is the area we want to live in when we decided we are ready to buy a house. We are going back next week hopefully, so I'll remember to take my camera and post some pictures.

Moving on, to food, the past week I have cooked a proper meal for dinner every night, I know for some that is nothing to be proud of, I usually am too lazy to do it every single night but I have enjoyed it. And for your viewing pleasure I included a picture of tonights dinner. Autumn beef stew

Cleaning frenzy

This was my task for Friday night, lots of crap in there from my childhood and generally lots of crap! Yes those red cat salt and pepper shakers are tacky I know, but for some reason I had to have them when I saw them a few weeks ago.
This weekend I have been cleaning the house like mad. Kristian and I received a new vacuum cleaner recently and I have been using it almost every other day I love it so much!
Anyway here is the end of my post and the result of the cupboard

Easter & a Birthday

It has been a hectic Easter/birthday weekend. Kristian and I both had the long weekend off work so we went to visit my parents who live in Golden Beach on the 90 mile Beach, country East Coast Victoria. We only stayed one night which seems pointless for a 3 hour drive, It was rainy and overcast the 1 and a half day's we were there, I went down to the beach though and took a couple of pics.
On the way home from Mum and Dads we stopped off at "Red Coat Soldier" this amazing antique shop, where I got my engagement ring last May, anyway they had so much nice stuff, nothing in my price range of course, I did come home with an old postcard with kittens on it.

And today was Kristian's birthday, 23 years old, we had a lunch with his family at his favorite restaurant, it was quite tiring for me as I'm very different to his family and as nice as they can be, they sometimes annoy me, so it was nice to get home and just relax.

Change of season.

So its finally beginning to feel like Autumn and it has finally started raining, and it is much needed with the drought and all the water restrictions here in Australia.

This past week I have been thinking about how I have been living and how I want to change some of my ways and start to live a more simpler and "greener" life. I have decided to part take in becoming less focused on buying things I simply don't need and start using the things I already have and don't use.
Also Kristian and I are going to go around the house and replace all the old washer's on our taps to prevent and stop leaks, replace our old light bulbs with more energy efficient ones and I am going to start a compost heap and buying our fruits and vegetables from farmers markets instead of from the chain supermarkets.


I shall continue to update on my new "greener" life.
